Naming Rules
Rules for the Construction of Personal, Place and Corporate Names. Archivists commonly use proper names, i.e. the names of persons, places and corporate bodies, when describing, cataloguing and indexing their holdings. The primary purpose of these Rules is to assist cataloguers of archives and manuscripts in forming names along nationally agreed consistent rules.
